Q: Apple TV, MacBook Pro, and airplay issues.

My Apple TV connects fine to my iPhone via airplay, but I can't find the Airplay option at the top bar. When I go to system preferences and displays, it says no devices detected. I have a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.4. If anyone with any helpful information could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is show mirroring options checked in System Preferences - > Displays?

Is your MBP on the same network as your iPad and iDevices?
