My son has a first generation ipad and recently his charger wire frayed and now I can not find any adapter cord that will charge his ipad. Can someone please help??
Go to an Apple Store or buy online the 30 pin cord.

The new Lightning chargers will not work with the First Generation iPad. You must purchase the 30-pin cable at this link.
Or, you can purchase an adapter at this link.

To be clear, the charger will work fine ... it is the sync cable that won't.
