Hi,

iPhone: Wireless carrier support and features

Expanding the Middle East I don't see Palestine listed.

However this is for FaceTime via Phone services.

An iPhone can also use WiFi and most iPads would do it this way.

You need to make sure the Time Zone settings and Region settings are set correctly.

On the Mac tell me more about the alert message you got from the Messages app please.

Did the messages tell you to contact Apple Support and give you a code to tell them ?

If that is the case you will need to Start here http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

Use the iTunes Store Contact on the right and then follow the Menu items for Managing Account until you are offered an Email link.

Tell them in an email.

Hi,

There are now several errors where the iMessages account looks logged in but will not send iMessages (On the Mac) whilst the ID actually works on other devices.

I doubt you are singed in fully or properly.

The Status Setting in the Messages Menu is nothing to do with iMessages.

User uploaded file

It is about the Status of Buddy Lists.

IF you only have the iMessages account and the Bonjour accounts in the Messages > Preferences > Accounts List AND the Bonjour one is Not Enabled then the item is likely to say "Inactive"

In fact in Yosemite if you disable all other accounts accept the iMessages the Status option disappears.

User uploaded file

You can see in this Pic the iMessages account is dark and therefore Logged in and all other are greyed out but there is not a Status item despite the Bonjour Account being selected (out of sight in the list but details on the right).

Do you mean this Details Button ?

User uploaded file

It will ask you to Logged in when you use it. (again - as it were if the account is actually logged in).

It will then show you the details and options for your Apple ID in use with iMessages

Hi,

You may not have the same Available and Away (Status Messages) that I do as you can save new ones in addition to the defaults.

If the Details button is in effect Not working then the iMessages account is not Logging in.

In Applications/Utilities launch the Keychain Access app.

Set it to the Login top left and Password lower left.

The on the right look for an item that is IDS: yourAppleID@server.com-Auth Token

If that is not there then check the Serial Number is present.

Open the Apple Icon menu top Left and select About this Mac.

In Mavericks click twice on the line that tells you the Current OS level.

It should change to the Build Number on the first and the Serial Number on the second.

It is late where Ia ma and it will be a while before I am back.

Hi,

Do you get any error message at all as you try and complete the iMessages account details ?

And in the Picture I posted before that has the red writing on it, is the "Enable this Account" actually Enabled (Ticked) ?

Hi,

You Are posting in Mavericks and I have been giving your Maverick Instructions.

You have Yosemite.

It looks like this

The Info is in the Overview tab and above the two buttons.

If the bit I have pixelated out is not there then you needs to go to an Apple store and have it put back.
