Q: Macbook Pro screen glitches, 3 beeps, NOT THE RAM

My Macbook pro has been having screen glitches randomly with lines appearing on the screen and then it suddenly shuts down. Sometimes It beeps 3 times (what everyone claims is a ram issue) and sometimes it does not beep and will just start right back up again. I'm currently using it right now and it seems to be okay but this is always the case. It works fine and then all the sudden it glitches and shuts down. I

I have had the Ram replaced TWICE and have had the ram readjusted in case it has fallen out of place. my computer has passed every hardware test imaginable. Sometimes when I scroll on safari, chrome or anywhere (when its working) the screen glitches and lags really bad. MY computer is literally unusable. I am in nursing school and my computer is vital PLEASE someone help me!!!!

Here is just some details and extra info about what I've tried and researched:

I am currently using it in "safe boot" mode and I turned the SMS (sudden motion sensor) off.

I have done so much research on this issue here is what I have found thus far, obviously the ram issue, A GPU issue, A logic board issue (lets pray its not), a battery issue or a issue with Mavericks. Could it be something I downloaded?

Mac details:

13 Inch MacBook Pro Mid 2012

Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Version: 10.9.1

Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

This is what it says under SYSTEM INFORMATION Hardware>Memory.Memory Slots:

ECC: Disabled

BANK 0 / DIMM0

Size:2GB

Type:DDR3

Speed:1600MHz

Status:OK

Manufacturer: 0X02FE

Part Number:0x45424A3230554638424455302D474E2D4620

then it has BANK 1/DIMM0 and basically says the same thing

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP

I would suggest everyone experiencing the problem to provide your feedback on Apple product feedback. Just open apple website and you can find the feedback button there. I did mine recently  and hopefully with more feedback from people, apple would do something about it. Fingers crossed.

Just to make life easier.... here is the link for Apple product feedback. http://www.apple.com/feedback/macbookpro.html

The comment box has limitation on character so you need to be really concise. People need to give feedback as much as possible for Apple to pay attention to the defects of their product...

    Hey!

I've been having the same problems with a mac book pro mid 2012 since I updated the original RAM to 16GB. The computer crashed on every test I ran with Rember. When I changed back to the original sticks, the problem was still there.

However, I noticed that the computer freezed (with weird colors on the screen) when the computer was physically moved! So I opened the computer again and made **** sure those sticks was inserted as far as possible into the RAM bay. The computer hasn't crashed since.

    regards,

    Riberr

I'm pretty sure I just started getting these problems. Have the same specs. Upgraded the RAM about two years ago I have one 4GB in each RAM slot. I also provided feedback to Apple. Really don't want to put more money into this computer.

My problem is when putting pressure on the bottom left of my computer or anywhere around that area it will freeze, sometimes glitch the screen, and then shut down. I only heard it beep three times on start up once and it was sitting in one place for a long time before that happened.

    Same problem here...

Just sent feedback to apple. Hopefully something happens. Already replaced my RAM and SDD in the course of finding a solution. If anyone finds a solution other than removing one RAM from the slot, please report! I'd really appreciate any help!

Just FYI: I had a Macbook Pro before with a known issue with the graphic board. Apple knew about this issue and had a replacement program for the affected Macbooks. But since the issue with my old Macbook occured only 3 weeks after the program ran out i didn't get any support anymore.. I tried to talk to Apple about this but there were no gestures of goodwill. So I'm not very optimistic with this know...

How long did the replacement program run? Usually that is at least 2 - 3 years. Why didn't you take in your machine for a free repair?

And, have you checked your battery?

    Thanks for the fast reply!

The replacement program ran for 3 years I think. But in my case the issue occurred about 4 or 5 weeks after the program ran out. I took my Macbook to Apple but they were not willing to accomodate in any way. Please don't get me wrong, I just think that if I buy a product that costs that much and there is a known issue like this, the company could at least be cooperating a little bit (even after an official program ran out).

I had my whole my whole Macbook Pro checked. They suggested the harddisk and RAM replacement. Battery was also checked.

I had the same problem, and it was resolved by removing the RAM closest to the motherboard as suggested... What is really peculiar is the fact that I can use both RAM slots again after i installed Linux instead of Mac os..  So we must conclude that it is a software problem disguised as a hardware problem... shame on you Apple!

Exactly same issue (three beeps with screen issue and shutdown), with the exact same fix, MB Pro mid 2012. Take the RAM out, replaced both still did not work.  Left the bottom out just replaced the top and everything is back to normal.  I ended up replacing the top with an 8GB so I did not lower my performance from my two 4GB I replaced.

Sadly on my less than four your old machine this is my third part failure and this machine is only used at home.  The drive two years ago, something else the year before (another known issue) and I think I'm at least on my third charger. Disappointing to say the least.
