6th Gen Nano not recognized

Hello Community,

My 6th Gen Nano is not recognized, I have tried trouble shooting no luck, I have another iPod 3rd gen that did the same thing then it worked so I am not sure if it is hardware of software? Anyone have any ideas... real ideas,.. not just try to trouble shoot.
