Mini DP to HDMI issue

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has stumbled across issues similar to mine. I bought a 32' HDTV recently and I have it hooked up onto my MacBook Pro mid 2012 via a mini DP to HDMI cable(not adaptor). The initial connection was fine, but then I would get this "No Signal" message on my TV at intermittent times and I have to completely shut my TV off and turn it back on again for my mac to be able to detect it again. The duration of my TV getting connection from my mac is completely random , at times it will last for 2 hours and sometimes it will disconnect after 10 minutes and I have to turn off/on my tv everytime to get the connection back . I have tried the troubleshooting steps provided on this forum but to no avail. I would appreciate it if anyone can shed some light.
