When I open multiple windows in safari, the close button on individual window doesn't appear. I have to close full safari to close 1 window.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Test after each one and stop when the problem is solved. Back up all data before making any changes.

1. Quit and relaunch Safari. Force quit if necessary.

2. From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences... Privacy Remove All Website Data

and confirm.

3. If applicable, uninstall Glims and/or an application called "RedQuits." Log out or restart the computer.

4. Start up in safe mode. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, stop here and post your results. If you still have the problem in safe mode, go to the next step.

5. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

Right-click or control-click the line and select

Services Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Relaunch the application and test. If there's no change, quit again and put the item you moved back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, delete the item you moved. If possible, restore it from a backup that predates the problem.

*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select

Go Go to Folder...

from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
