Mac Mini G4 - Stuck DVD - No HDD

Hello Apple Forum Users,

So about 3 days ago I had gotten a Mac Mini G4 on Craigslist for about $15, the catch is that it didn't include a Hard Drive. This didn't bother me much as the HDD is $15. I got home yesterday and decided to see if Mac Mini could boot into Leopard, I had wanted to see if ram would be an issue, and to my surprise the Mini didn't notice the DVD. I can hear it spinning and no ejecting the thing won't work, I've gone into Open Firmware and typed "eject cd" and it gives me a message saying that it can't Open the eject device. Holding Alt on startup doesn't give me an option to boot to it.

I've tried many things to get the thing rolling, I read online that a HDD must be present for it boot from a CD correctly. I'm not sure, but the hard drive will show up in 2 weeks. Any advise?
