Thunderbolt to ethernet adapter - Internet sharing fails to work

hi i for some reason on my macbook pro and also iMac...

i been getting the same/similar issues when i try to share my internet from this adapter or just from ethernet to wifi.

it doesn't work i have it set like this: http://puu.sh/aGDeL.png

and as soon as i enable wifi it jumps to to bluetooth PAN even when i set it back to wifi and press start on internet sharing it continues to go back to Bluetooth Pan
