Multiple Device Household

A few years ago I got my daughter an Ipod Touch.. and created an Apple ID.

This time last year, I received a loaner MacBook Pro from my college and linked to the same Apple ID.

Santa came and brought 3 I phones.

I need to change some of the Apple Ids on the devices.. I want my computer and my phone to have the apple id ending in outlook.com (created) .. I want my child to have her Touch and Phone(4) on the aol.com account ..

I can not figure out how to change the apple ID the macbok is associated with.

I do not want her to lose any of her music.

I do not want to lose any of my school work.

Hi CarolinaChuck,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you do have a lot of devices and I know keeping everything associated with the correct Apple ID is very important. You mention school work and music both in the post so I just want to take a second and clear up the services Apple IDs can provide. On your Apple products there are several services that use your Apple ID such as iCloud, iTunes, iMessage, FaceTime and iBooks Store.

You mention that you do not want your daughter to lose any of her music. The music purchased would be associated with an iTunes Apple ID. To change the iTunes Apple ID please refer to the following articles for updating or changing the iTunes Apple ID on an iOS device or Apple computer.

iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store

Using an existing Apple ID with the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, and iBooks Store

You also mention your school work. It sounds like the school work may be being synced and saved on iCloud. Please refer to the following article for changing the Apple ID for iCloud on iOS devices or your Apple computer.

iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings

Have a great day,
