iBooks not downloading my books?

Check to make sure you can access the iTunes Store as well as the iBooks Store and the settings are correct and nothing is blocking access to the stores. If you are still having issues, the report it to the iBooks Store by following the steps in the second article.

I Am having the same problem. Recently purchased books remain in grey Area... Books from cloud that i attempted to load to my ipad mini remain stuck midstream.

what am I doing wrong.

I am having a similar probem. There are books I purchased in iBooks, which are showing up have the "download from cloud" icon next to them. When I try and download them the word "downloading" shows up indefinitely.

Unfortunately the link Norm gave for reporting issues is a 404 now. I'm having the same problem with my very first download. Bought the book and it stuck at "three seconds remaining." I paused it and started again and now it's not doing a thing, but just shows "Waiting" in the Downloads Available box. Is this normal for a 63.8 MB book?

I've just solved this issue while looking for another problem at the same time. My App Store wouldn't load, and one solution was to go to Utilities > Disk Utility and repair permissions. Not only did the App Store come back, but my iBooks downloaded perfectly. I suppose we should all do this as maintenance from time to time.

I have a similarity problem! I am trying to download two books that say is downloading for the past month.These books I purchased in the past and they downloaded just fine then so I'm curious as to why they aren't downloading now. If someone could help me, that would be awesome.

Same here. Just bought a book, download stuck, now it shows the book has only 1 page. But even that page doesn't show up. I can delete it from my library, but when I go to the iBook store and go the same book, it shows that I downloaded already (and I have the same problem). How can I get rid of this?

Huh -- where do I find "Utilities --> Disk Utility"

Delete them. In the list view. And then look for them in the search for the book store, then click stop read until our downloads the book again. Good look that worked for me

I'm trying to download an audiobook on iBooks but it's not actuality doing anything. it has the download sign next to it but every time I try to stop it, it just doesn't do anything just keeps sayibig it's downloading, this is all on an iPhone 6 Plus.

i am having a similar issue, bought the book in my ipad and i am trying to download to my iphone 7 plus. when i click on the cloud download button it just shows the stop button like its downloading but nothing is happening. anyone find a solution?

Going to disk utility -> First Aid solved my problem. No idea why though..
