problem with airplay and internal speakers

i have a 2011 15" macbok pro running OS X mavericks. My problem is my MacBooks sound plays on airplay and not on the internal speakers, but sound will play out of the internal speakers when on another network. I've tried to go to Preference < Sound < Output chose internal speakers but when when i exit out it still plays on airplay. Also tried resetting the PRAM which didn't do anything. last thing I tried was changing the sound MIDI settings with no luck. I'm stuck and i tried turning off my apple tv but there another apple tv on the same network that i don't have access to. Is there anyway to turn airplay or change settings somehow?
