ical unexpectedly quit....again and again and again and again
My iCal unexpectedly now quits every time I try to start it up--it shows the calendar (but none of my events) then gives me the message about it unexpectedly quitting. I read some of the other posts about similar startup issues, but I kind of need someone to walk me through a solution step by step since I am not as computer savvy as most. Thanks!
I had something simiar happening. iCal would unexpectly launch and then hang my system. I finally realized that iCal was atomatically starting when I had alarms set for a calendar event.
When iCal is not running move the calendar culprit to a folder on your desktop. Your calendar folder should be located at users/[your username here]/Library/Calendars
Restart iCal. iCal will show your calendar in your list but no events will be associated with it. Delete the calendar in you iCal list (not from the folder on your desktop).
My iBook just started the same thing a couple of days ago . . . what's going on? I don't understand the directions for fixing this . . . any help out there? And, why in the world did it just start turning itself off?
Might it have to do with the latest software fix--for airport?

I don't see any replies to this. I've sent numerous messages to Apple about this bug - my iCal tells me it has a whole bunch of conflicts to resolve and then quits before I can do anything. I thought it must be a problem with the latest update.
