Can't connect to Gmail or Google using Safari. Receive notification that Safari can't establish a secure connection. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.
MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
Anit virus software as well as apps such as Little Snitch can prevent webpages from loading,
did not help .
Safari Ok for all sites except those from google : gmail google etc...Firefox and chrome OK, tried even to logout on firefox from G+
tried wifi off , tried restart the Mac Air

Thank you Carolyn! The first solution helped - as soon as I moved the Cache.db file to the trash, Safari was up and running with Gmail and Google. I appreciate your response and help.
I am having the same problem, but the website data refuses to be removed! I remove it, delete the cache, and the restart Safari, and the website data comes back. Any idea how to deal with this?
Tried all the above thing.Nothing helped. Safari as well as chrome are unable to open gmail and to open google a certificate called as *.google.com has to be trusted. Please need help.
