Creating Space by deleting movies on iMac

I currently have a number of movies and tv shows on my iMac stored in iTunes. Unfortunately this means I now have no storage space to back up my iPhone. If I delete some movies from my imac to create space, will I still be able to access them at a later date?

All movies/tv shows have been purchased through iTunes.

Thanks inadvance for your help.....ℹ

Whether you will be able to redownload them depends upon what country that you are in (they can't be redownloaded in all), whether you change countries (you can't redownload purchases made in a different country's store), and if they remain in the store (rights-holders occasionally remove their items) - before deleting them you are better off copying them to, for example, an external drive so that you have your own backup copy of them, and not rely on being able to redownload them at a future date

Press the button in the top left corner of your Mac > About My Mac > More Info... > Storage (on the taskbar)

If the colored bar is full under Macintosh HD than you have no more space and you might want a storage upgrade.

Select your iMac version from the second paragraph, you can use About my Mac to find which one is yours.

Good Luck!
