itunes freezes when I try to burn a cd

every time I try to burn a cd itunes freezes. I updated to the new version and this is when i started having problems. I have uninstalled every thing to do with itunes per the directions on the website, then reinstalled.....but it continues to happen......any ideas how to fix this? I have windows 7.
