Q: my Macbook and iPhone 5c won't pair

I recently bought a new iPhone 5c (version 7.1.2) and a new Macbook (OS X 10.9.4). I'm trying to pair them to share documents via Bluetooth, but the two are not pairing. I can see each device on the other device, but when I try to pair, it says it cannot connect. What do I need to do?

The iPhone does not support file sharing with a computer via bluetooth and that is why it will not pair. About the only thing it does support with a computer is personal hotspot (sharing the iPhone cellular data internet connection) and then only if your cellular plan allows it.
