Q: Wifi can't find one network but can find another!

Hi there.

I just moved in this residence and my mac can't connect to the wifi here.

Point is it can find and connect to the neighbours wifi!

My phone can connect to my home network and so everyone elses Macs from people that live here.

How can I fix it please? This is not the first time it happens.

I tried diagnostics, but i can only see the neighbours wifi. I do not see at all the local internet connection nor in the top list or when using diagnostics.

I am using Mavericks OSx 10.9.4.

I searched for my leads on foruns but can't find anything that could help.

Hey flaviae,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Sounds like other devices can connect to the home wifi except this one MacBook pro, but it sees other wifi networks and can connect them. It may be a setting in the home network since wifi does work on the MacBook Pro. The second article has things you can do to troubleshoot.
