I was wondering how much would it be for you to replace iPhone 5 motherboard?
I have opened the phone and try to do some personal fixes but i finally took it in for someone to look at it. They mentioned that it can't be fix due to the nick on the motherboard has been off therefore it doesn't recognize the usb cord. Is there a way where you guys can replace the motherboard and how much would it be?
You are talking to other users here, not Apple. Take it in to an Apple store and they will answer your question.

It also depends on what country you are from, for general pricing on the internet you can try ifixit website. I know they have some replacement prices but i think it is going to be a lot of money. You can try apple as wel but i know in some countries they dont do iphone repairs
Unfortunately ,now you have opened up the iPhone you have voided any warranty OR post warranty support from Apple on that device
The iPhone is NOT user serviceable and ANYONE opening will void support

and FYI Apple do not sell spares nor do they repair .Any failed iPhone is exchanged fro a refurbished device at a much reduced price .An iPhone 5 in the US would be $269 ,sadly you are no longer eligible for that programme
did u get this sorted? I was in Apple yesterday and they wanted £189 to replace the motherboard. I have one of the faulty iPhone 5 and had them replace my battery twice and to be honest think the motherboard was faulty to
They were going to replace the motherboard or the whole phone? Why didn't you have them repair/replace it?
they were going to replace the motherboard. I'm waiting in someone calling me back from Apple as I complained about the phone being faulty. I believe it wasn't just the battery's that had a fault as I have seen quite a few discussions on here about people having one of the faulty iPhones then being told that it's there motherboard. I don't think I should have to pay £189 to repair the phone if they are at fault

£189 is the out of warranty exchange price .Apple do not do such repsirs in the field
You will get a factory reconditioned unit for that price at an Apple store genius bar
