Aug 10, 2014 7:21 AM in response to AlexPlazmaby OGELTHORPE,Have you looked at this Apple support article:

Occasionally a thorough cleaning of the trackpad will restore functionality.
Worst case is a reinstall of the OSX.
Ciao.

Oct 10, 2014 12:00 PM in response to AlexPlazmaby EmelyMendoza,I had the same problem. My trackpad wasn't completely out of control but it was hard to use and it was not responding correctly. My charger is broken but I still use it, so what actually fixed my problem was unplugging my charger and immediately after that it was working just fine. Right now I can't afford getting a new charger so I know that when I plug it back in it will start doing the same thing, meanwhile if I want the trackpad to work I'll have to unplug the charger.
Hope it helps!
