Q: My trackpad problem

Hey

Last night I encounterd a problem with my trackpad. It just kinda "spaced out" not responding to touch sliding the screen to the calculator function, sliding al windows up etc etc. I rebootet the system and everything worked fine. For about 5-10min then it started again. I just had enough and put it on standby, next morning (now) after a few minutes sometimes longer depending if I do much or not - same problems accur, its enough so that I just close the macbook and reopen it and everything works fine. After a while so the pad gets slower and won't go to the places I tell it to and then it starts jumping etc again.

Any suggestions now hat this could be? And how I could fix this?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), iOS 7.1.2

Have you looked at this Apple support article:

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1449

Occasionally a thorough cleaning of the trackpad will restore functionality.

Worst case is a reinstall of the OSX.

    Ciao.

I had the same problem. My trackpad wasn't completely out of control but it was hard to use and it was not responding correctly. My charger is broken but I still use it, so what actually fixed my problem was unplugging my charger and immediately after that it was working just fine. Right now I can't afford getting a new charger so I know that when I plug it back in it will start doing the same thing, meanwhile if I want the trackpad to work I'll have to unplug the charger.

    Hope it helps!
