I am using Numbers version 3.2 (1861) on a mac mini(2.3 GHz Intel Core 17) running OSX 10.9.4.

I am trying to save a numbers spreadsheet as an excel document to be sent to a PC.

    Hi brian,

I am using the same version of numbers. I don't have a "save as" what I have is "Export To  >". Excel does show up as an option there. It also shows up in the next window as an option after I have clicked any of the other options. Here is a screenshot after I chose PDF in the Export popup.

Making my choice there seems to work fine.

Thanks. I had to go one step further to export to Excel that PC understood.  Namely, after selecting Excel to export spreadsheet, I used the advanced option, to change the format from .xlsx to .xls.

    It worked just fine.

    Thanks again.
