iOS 7.1.1 contacts don't sync to gmail account

Hello,

I have followed the manuals on iOS: Syncing with Google Contacts and https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077 to sync my contacts on iPhone 4S (iOS 7.1.1) with my gmail account.

Unfortunately, I don't see my contacts in my gmail, when I login to my account. Any idea what did I do wrong?
