What is cloudflare and why is it on my ipad after the latest update?

I am trying to access etsy.com via safari on my ipad. I keep getting this message.

"You've requested a page on a website (etsy.com) that is on the CloudFlare network. CloudFlare is unable to resolve your requested domain."

Thiss has only started after my latest update earlier this week. This seems to be the only website where I get this message. Can someone please tell me who is cloudflare, why am I getting this message and how do I fix this.

Thanks for any help. I am not a techie so plain English is good. 🙂

I'm not sure why you posted the Pinterest extension link, but I had no problem accessing etsy.com. Try clearing Safari, force close the app and then reset your iPad. Then see if you can access the website.

Go to Settings> Safari> Clear Cookies and Data.

In order to close apps in iOS 7, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

SInce you are not that techie, by your own admission, if you can't get the hang of force closing the app, just clear Safari and reset the iPad and then try again.

Thanks for replying. Actually I have no idea where that link came form. I simply typed in the PS text and didn't add any link.

Earlier today I did clear my cookies and my history but that didn't help.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you are referring to when you explain about the apps. I am not using the Etsy app I am in Safari. I was following a link in Google and then also kept trying by typing in etsy.com. All I got is the DNS error from this cloudflare thing.

But I did clear Safari and reset the ipad and now I can get in, so thank you so much. I thought I had already done that but apparently not.

What is cloudflare and why is it on my ipad after the latest update?
