Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
dot_clean -m /V*/M*
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear below what you entered. You can then quit Terminal. Test.

Aug 13, 2014 5:14 PM in response to Linc Davisby costasfromny,no luck. same thing happens. something is wrong with this particular folder. i do not want to experiment any more with whole computer or external drive and risk messing up more critical files and folders. i hope the above that i just did, did not mess anything up.
