Every time I do anything on my MacBook Air I get a slew of log in requests from Safari, email accounts, Address book Source Sync, log in key chains etc. Totally disrupts use.

Hi jmgrme,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like there could be maybe two different things happening in your situation. The first thing I would suggest checking would be resetting My Default Keychain. Please use the following article for information on how to complete this task.

OS X: Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password

If any of those prompts that you listed in your post say anything about “Local Items” keychain, please use this article to resolve that situation.

Have a great day,
