I just bought a Mac with an Arabic Keyboard...many letters are not typed correctly; the letters on the keyboard are not matching the typed ones on screen...they are missed up. Please advise how to fix this issue.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), I am not sure about the Oper. Sys.
Open System Preferences>Keyboard>Input Sources, and make sure that the list on the left includes Arabic. If not, click the + button and select the appropriate language, then click Add.

In system preferences/languge & text/input sources, you should see a couple Arabic layouts -- Arabic, Arabic Qwerty, and Arabic PC. Make sure only the one which matches your hardware keyboard is checked. If your keyboard came from Apple, that wouild be Arabic.
System Preferences/Keyboard/ Input Source - do you have Arabic selected there?
OS - menu/About This Mac will show the OS.
