I don't understand the following help. After clicking the add button , I don't see choose button.

How to copy files from your computer to your iOS app

  1. Be sure to select the appropriate application in the Apps list under File Sharing.
  2. Drag and drop files onto the Documents list to copy them to the app on your iOS device or…
  3. Click the Add… button, locate the file or files you want to copy from your computer, and click Choose. The selected files will be copied to the app on your iOS device immediately. Select only files that are supported by the iOS device app. Refer to the iOS app’s documentation to determine which file formats it supports.

The instructions are a bit out of date - after clicking Add just navigate to the file that you want to add and select it and click 'Add' on the popup and the popup should disappear and the document should then show on the 'Numbers Documents' list on that screen in iTunes.

To then get the document into the Numbers app on your iPad so that you can open it, then follow steps 5 to 7 from http://help.apple.com/numbers/ipad/2.2/#/tan33125c726 :

  1. Connect your iOS device to your computer, then open iTunes on your computer. After a moment, your iOS device appears on the right side of the iTunes toolbar.
  2. In iTunes, select your iOS device, then click Apps.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Apps window, then select Numbers (in the Apps list below File Sharing).
  4. Click Add, select the file, then click Open.
  5. Open Numbers on your iOS device.
  6. In the spreadsheet manager, tap User uploaded file, then tap Copy from iTunes.
  7. Tap the spreadsheet.

(The spreadsheet manager is where you see a list of the documents that you have in the app, and can either open an existing document or create a new one)
