I've got the current version of Final Cut, 10.1.2.
I have a couple of older .fcpproject files on my hard drive off about two years ago.
How do I import/convert these so they'll work in 10.1.2?
I have one in the Final Cut Events folder, and one in the Final Cut Projects folder.
The file I want to convert is seen on the right hand side CurrentVersion.fcpproject
(I wonder if in the past I inadvertently updated this and closed the library... Is this possible? Its been a while, but I do want to work on this project again).

You don't import them. Assuming they are not hidden from FCP 10.1, choose Update Projects and Events from the File menu>Locate and then navigate to the drive. It should create an event called Updated Projects.

The Update Projects and Events took me to the right folder where my .fcpproject file was but when I tried to update it it said, "Final Cut could not find any projects or events to update".
But the fcpproject files ARE there in the Final Cut Events and Final Cut Projects folder. It should be finding them. Any ideas?
10.1 can't see them there. The two folders need to be moved up a level.

Please post screen shots of your folder structure. Where are the folders? What are you doing in the update window exactly? The update function updates volumes not specific projects and events.

Converting an old .fcpproject ... how?
