How do I restore to factory setting to apple TV with PC? I tried to restore my Apple TV while hooked up to TV. It would not let me. it sees my wifi. It will not open anything. All passwords correct. Then tried to restore. No luck. I have it now hooked up to computer, but Apple TV does not show up as device on iTunes.

Connect directly to computer, not a keyboard port or USB hub. Try a different micro usb cable.
Thanks for reply. I have complied with above. In fact when I first plugged it in it updated drivers and such. Just now, I cannot get iTunes to recognize.
So it was recognized, drivers were updated, and now it's no longer seen?
Correct. For example. If I close out iTunes, unplug it, reopen iTunes and then plug the Apple TV into the computer, via USB, my Apple TV does not open into iTunes as my iphone does.
While, iTunes is open, I go to "File"; "Devices" and nothing shows up.
I got that, I was trying to clarify if it was recognized previously.
YEs it did. In fact when I plug in the computer makes the noise when you plug in a device.

Your PC recognizes a USB device and installs USB drivers. What version of iTunes do you have?
I updated iTunes before I tried everything. So it is most recent version. As far as my Apple TV goes, I do not know. I could not update it. It said to and when I tried, that is when the problem occurred.
Is your PC a new one? It is likely that you have only USB3.0 ports, and the ATV2 requires USB2.0 ports to be seen by iTunes. You can check Windows Device Manager to check if there is an unknown device (it should have a yellow triangle with a '!'). If there is, delete it. Now plug-in your ATV2 again to the PC. You may want to try all available USB ports, one by one.
