iPad is disabled and has a passcode

I got a free iPad from my grandma who couldn't get in it so she thought that I would be able to. The iPad is disabled and when I plug it into iTunes like it says to do it tells me it's locked due to a passcode. So I have absolutely no way into this iPad. I would just want to erase everything on it.
