iMovie 08 doesn't recognize my internal camera

After installing Mavericks OS on my iMac, my iMovie no longer recognizes my internal camera (iSight). It used to default to the internal camera, now I get the "No camera connected" message when I try to record. I've closed all other apps that access the camera, but no luck. Any fix?

iMac; MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.6)
