Q: Flash and full screen
Hi.
Just to explain my "setup" when I experience this issue. I have an external display that I use too do my work on and besides it I keep my Mac Book display open to play either a movie or another application. Sometimes I want to watch a Youtube video on my laptop display in full screen. So I open two separate Safari windows (Not tabs!), and place one on the laptop display for the flash content and the other on my external to use for work. When enabling full screen on the flash player it removes the menu and application on the external display as expected when it is in focus. However when I move the cursor over to second Safari window on the external display and put it in focus it removes the menu and application bar aswell. If I put any other application on the external display (such as iTunes) in focus the bar returns. So every time I put the Safari window on the external display in focus it keeps removing the bars.
I have found a workaround for this issue. If I put the entire Safari window on the laptop display, with the Youtube video in full screen (Cmd + Ctrl + F), before putting the flash player in full screen mode. Then the second Safari window on the external will not remove the menu bars when put in focus. However this only work with the first flash video and not when I switch to a new one at the end of the video. Then I have to close Safari entirely and all windows.
I have tried this with the Firefox browser and it does not behave like this. It only removes the bars when the window with the full screen flash is in focus and not when the other is in focus. So I can't see this being a flash issue but more a Safari.
Versions I am running
Flash player: 14.0.0.145.
Safari: 7.0.5
OS X: 10.9.4
MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
