How can I convert a video clip to a photo?

I imported a short video clip from my iphone to my iphoto application on my macbook. Can I convert a frame from that video clip to a photo?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

QuickTime 7 can extract still frames. "File > Export > Movie to Picture". This command is missing in the newer QuickTime versions.

A simple way to create a still frame e in iPhoto is to view the video at full screen, and then take a screen capture of the frame you want - Shift-command-3.

Added: Aperture's video editor can extract still frames, but even iMovie does no longer support the extraction of still frames as image files. iMovie 9 creates a still video clip instead.
