I have had a bit of an email melt down initiated by changing my email from POP to IMAP

I have had a bit of an email melt down initiated by changing my email from POP to IMAP so that my emails are removed from my desktop when i have read them on my iPhone. However, in doing this, I ma now in a position where I cannot switch between inbox and sent in the grey bar at the top of the email page without having to go into the "show" option to the right of the screen...not the end of the world, just frustrating!
