Buzzing noise through M-audio interface due to Maverick Update

Hey everyone,

Recently i upgraded my imac desktop (with 1 TB of space 3.2, Ghz intel core i3 and 4GB 1333MHZ DDR3) from snow leopard to Mavericks OS X 10.9.2 and have been dealing with issues in logic express 9. The biggest issue is that when i turn on my audio interface (M-Audio fast track pro) and try to record or listen to a track in logic express through the interface, there is a constant buzzing and crackling noise. I have updated the drivers, contacted both Apple and Avid the new supporter of the (M-Audio fast track pro), installed the logic express over again and have done everything to resolve the issue with a representative on both ends, but neither company has been able to help solve this issue. If anybody has any ideas or knows how to solve the issue please let me know. Im trying all my options before i buy another interface since i'm a college student.

1) Make sure that your M-Audio driver settings are the same as your audio preferences in LE9, i.e. sample rate, bit depth, I/O buffer size, etc.

2) Try replacing your cables to see if that helps.

Hey Guitartist,

I replaced the cables recently and the issue still persited.

I realized that when i updated my M-audio driver the setting changed on my computer's system preferences. I therefore changed my sample depth rate from 24 bits to 16 bits and it stopped the buzzing noise that i was having completely.

I have the exactly same issue here.

But changing between 16-bit and 24-bit changes nothing to me.

It is like be inside a enormous reverb noise.

I am using a macbook pro under mavericks 10.10 and M-audio Fast track.

The problem starts after updating the OS X
