parental controls? I can't open up my parental controls

I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5..I can't unlock my parental controls.It says use password but it won't take my password.Is this a problem with some models or am i doing something wrong??

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6)

You need to log into the Mac with a an account that has Administrative privileges.

To recover administrative password.
