ios does not support bluetooth printers without extra software.

You need to buy the right printer.
The iPad uses a print technology called AirPrint. Airprint is a particular communication protocol that flows over WiFi. So, having a WiiFi printer isn't sufficient. The printer needs to be of an Airprint variety of WiFi.

Aug 13, 2014 4:19 PM in response to rccharlesby CigarTerry,I have the Epson XP-410, which does use AirPrint. Yes, I have been able to print from my iphone previously. I did nothing (that I know of) that would have stopped me from using it now.

Aug 13, 2014 5:35 PM in response to CigarTerryby sberman,The Epson XP-410 is indeed an AirPrint supported printer. But printing to it has absolutely nothing to do with Bluetooth. Instead, the printer and iPhone must be on the same WiFi network.

power down all devices. reboot starting with router then printer then ipad. Could be another device interfering so don't power other devices up.
These things can be frustrating.
