Hi there, I hope I can help you. First thing you need to do is download ifunbox. This is a third party software so you can extract files on your ipod, and place them onto your computer. Itunes itself does not have this feature, due to copyright issues. Go to ifunbox, classic toolbox, and under "extract" click on your music tab. Then it will save all the music from your ipod, to the computer, in a designated place where you save it. After you're done extracting the music from your ipod to your computer, drag and drop the folder where you saved all the music, into itunes. This will place all the songs on your ipod, in itunes. From there, you can re-make your playlists, then sync them back to your ipod. This is the simplest way to transfer data from an old device to a new one. Hope this helps, ~Samuel -Ifunbox link http://www.i-funbox.com/

Hello yogawithlezie,

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities.

You will need to first move your music from your iPod to your computer and then sync to the new iPod.
