Q: my hard disk crashed so i erased everything through disk utility and re installed os x can i recover my songs from the hard disk its a collection of years from cds  mostly

i was having mevrick on my macbook pro 2009 as an os when my hard disk started with a black screen and disk utility. tried assistance and it did not work. later i could erase all and reinstall the os x. now my question is how could i recover the songs and photos on it. i don't remember saving on to icloud.

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.1.2
