I Recently got an iPhone 5s and i have been keeping the cellular data setting off because i do not have unlimited data. I have noticed that while it is off and im not connected to wifi, i am not recieving messages from another iphone user. Please help me fix this!!
If you have cellular data off and no Wi-Fi available, your iPhone has no means to connect to the Internet. Thus it can't receive messages. You can go to the Cellular menu in Settings and control what apps can use cellular data.
When im not connected to wifi i want to text using regular texting. But when i message the person its green and when they message back i dont get it. It works with other people just not the one person. Im so confused.
Oh, then that's different. The other person needs to go to Settings > Messages > Send as SMS, and turn it on.
