Connecting Apple TV to an Acer H5380BD DLP Projector?

Having trouble connect Apple TV to an Acer H5380BD DLP Projector. It is currently connected with an HDMI cable to projector. I played a purchased movie once with the same HDMI cable/connection and it worked fine. The next day I tried to watch the same movie and it displayed I can't because HDMI cable issue. The same apple tv and hdmi cable work fine on our flatscreen tv but not on the projector. Any suggestion? Getting no answers from apple.
