Q: cupstomcdufr2 quit unexpectedly - help!!!

Hi.

We have 9 iMacs in our office all have Canon iRC1028/C1030 printers installed and working perfectly.

We purchased another iMac, all perfect, easy set up apart from being able to install the printer.

Had the original software disc which installed OK, however after trying to add the printer I then got error message 20600.

I looked that up on the internet and if was advised that I need to update any software - done, all up to date.

Then it was suggested to install ios Maverick. Done.

Now getting cupstomcdufr2 quit unexpectedly -  back onto the internet, this time go to Canon and get update software from there, NOTHING, helpdesk NO HELP AT ALL.

Any ideas what we can try next oh wise people of Apple Communities?

Do not use the Canon application software. Open System Preference - Printers & Scanners - and if you see the printer in the left pane right click it and select Reset Printing System..... Then follow the directions Apple provides in Mac Basics: Printing in OS X.

IOS is not the operating system that runs on Macs, IOS is designed for iPads, iPhones & iPods. OS X is the OS that runs on Macs, Mavericks 10.9.4 is the current releast of OS X. IOS and OS X are two totally seperate operating systems.
