Q: How do you add a manufacturer's print driver to Mac OS 10.6?

someone who has admin status on the Mac has to install it, but SL (under Admin) has the ability to pull in the correct driver by running software update.

Hope that helps..

System Preferences/Printer & Scanners - click the + sign and add the printer. This should cause the driver to be recognized.

You don't download anything.

The OS will take care of everything.
