Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server www.google.com

Recently Safari 7.0.6 stopped opening secure websites. Any website that uses HTTPS stopped working with an error:

"Safari can't establish a secure connection to the server www.google.com"

I've tried:

  • Reset my default keychain
  • Change DNS server
  • Check for software updates, all up to date
  • Flush DNS cache
  • Check certificates in keychain, removed two revoked, all other default have Use System Defaults
  • Firewall not enabled
  • Parental controls not enabled
  • Tried to reset Safari with all options checked
  • Chrome and Firefox on the same computer don't have any issues

What else could I try to fix this issue?

OS X Mavericks (10.9.4), Safari 7.06

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.

Click: Remove All Website Data

Then delete the cache.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

I am having the same problem with Facebook and a few other sites. The problem only has happened since I updated to Yosemite. (I also have problems viewing some images on Facebook and on my own blog - I get question marks instead of the images.) Is this a bug related to Yosemite, and will there be a fix? (I tried Dr. Koch's solution, but it didn't work.)
