Q: How to distribute free iBook to school?

Hello, I've searched through a few discussions, but I'm not sure I'm getting the answers I need, so I wanted to try my own:

We have created our own textbook, and we would like to distribute it to all of our students.  We have created the files in iAuthor and uploaded them to publish.  Is it true that I can only distribute to 50--the "redeem" option?  I need to distribute them to a whole school!  I know we can distribute the .iBooks files, but then we run into all sorts of other issues with the glossary and losing notes if we upload a new version.  Am I missing something here?  How can I create a book in this app and be able to distribute it to a set group of students for free?

Please help!

Thanks,

Kim

After I completed the book in iAuthor, I submitted it via Publisher.  Once that was all done, I had to wait for 24 hours before it was approved and then approximately another 24 hours before it showed up in the iBooks store.  So all our students have to do now is go into the iBooks Store and download it to their iBooks!  The "redeem" option, I think, is just for promotional purposes.

The more complicated part was actually getting an Apple ID connected through iTunes Connect (etc.) before I could do anything via Publisher.  We wanted to make a school account for anyone who wanted to publish a book; however, they do require you to put a credit card in for the account even if you're not selling your books to your students, so we just went through my personal, professional Apple ID instead.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks-it was super helpful!  I didn't realize you had to wait another day or so after the book got published!

    I appreciate your help!
