Hello, how to take screenshots of only the main window? When I press sit-cmd-3, two files will be saved on my desktop, one is the main screen, and the other is the desktop screen(without application windows within). Everytime I need to delete the desktop screen file. Can I just take the screenshot of the main window?

Do you have a second monitor or TV connected to your iMac in some way...?
For example: I run dual displays and always get two files, one for each display when using Command Shift 3.
Well,
Command + SHift + 3 will take a screenshot of the entire screen as currently showing
Command + Shift + 4: your pointer will change - drag it across the area you wish to copy and it will take a screenshot of that area only.
Try these as I have no idea why you'd get two files.

Problem is that, I only have a cabled dual monitor setup and do not have or dabble around with Apple TV or Air Display.
I use GRAB app
In reply to den.thed. Yes, I do have a TV connected to my Mac, sometimes working as a mirrored monitor. Is there any setting I can do to avoid taking screenshot of the 2nd file?
