17" Studio Display - Inverted color

I just inherited an older MacPro (2008) running 10.7.5 and a 17" studio display. Whenever I boot the computer, the display colors are inverted.

Once it boots, I can go into Accessibility and invert it a second time to use it, but why is it doing this?

Could be a bad display or bad graphics card. Try the other port on the graphics card. If that fixes it, then it's the card. If not, you will need to try the display on another computer, or try a different display on your computer, to isolate the problem.
