MacBook Pro messages and connecting with my phone number.

I have a MacBook pro with my phone connected to my computer. Although, when I text people of my MacBook it comes up on their phone as if its from my apple id. How can i make my phone and macbook messages match up?

Hi Savvymuah,

Texting from your MacBook Pro will always go through an account, such as iCloud, Google Talk or AIM, that the applications supports, not SMS or MMS messaging which are only supported on an iPhone. See these articles -
