Please help! My phone is stuck in British English.

so a while back I changed my phone to Spanish to see if I could read any of it since I take spanish but became instantly annoyed on how I couldn't type in English so anyone I knew could read my texts so I switched it back to English, British English it's great It's great because I was born there but I don't want every internet source I type to be in .co.uk so I switched it to American English and founc that I still have the same problem every google search I do the phone automatically thinks I'm in the UK and then useses .co.uk which I'm very annoyed at because I'm trying to buy an old Datsun which is very hard to do if the **** thing is across an ocean

so how do I get my safari to search .com instead of .co.uk each time I type in the "search web or enter site name" box

any help is much obliged
