Aug 16, 2014 6:56 AM in response to garyfromjenkinsby mns579,"G3" covers a lot of ground. They shipped from the factory with DB-15 and later VGA connectors. If the graphics card has ever been changed, the video connector could be something else, probably DVI or maybe even ADC (the last is unlikely). And before thinking it's certainly the monitor, also consider the possibility that it's the graphics card in the computer that is failing.

Aug 16, 2014 5:56 PM in response to garyfromjenkinsby Jeff,As already mentioned, it would be helpful to know which model G3 you have. The laser printer software can be found on this categorized page of Apple's "Older Software Downloads." You can use the segmented download of the LaserWriter 8.5.1 software, designed to fit on 1.44 MB floppy disks. Otherwise, you can download the LaserWriter 8.6 software in one 3 MB file. I assume that you have Stuffit Expander on the computer to decompress any "x-x-x.bin" files. Files with the ".smi" suffix are self-mounting (by double-clicking) and don't require Stuffit Expander.
